After just two years the Design-A-Bag (DAB) Competition is already an accepted regular feature of Fashion Access. It offers a unique opportunity for participants to 'fast track' to international recognition. Submission details of the third competition, Design-A-Bag 2009, are now available.
Because the four types of bag that featured in the previous event proved so popular, the exact same categories remain for 2009. These are:
FIT: Smart casual bag for urban lifestyles
PARTY: Evening bag for fun and special occasions
THE MALEBAG: Bag for male, handy, practical, long lasting, multi functional and occasion
DREAM TEENS: Bag for teenagers
Each category is open to both professional and student designers, who are judged separately. Entries are submitted on-line, a unique feature that enables entrants to participate from all over the world.
Attractive cash prizes are on offer: USD 1,000 to the overall winner, and USD 500 to the winners of each category in both professional and student classifications. Prizes are generously sponsored by:
