There's much about the Fashion Access and Materials, Manufacturing & Technology exhibitions in this newsletter. No surprise there of course because both events start at the end of this month (March 31 - April 2, in Hong Kong.) A third APLF event, Prime Source Forum, runs concurrently and for which a few places remain available.
Those attending the exhibitions will have the opportunity to visit pavilions from Japan, Italy and Brazil. Green, or 'eco-' developments have already moved out of the fringe area and into the mainstream apparel market. The 'Eco-luxury' Zone proves the point.
Leather, as a luxury raw material of choice both now and in the future, is examined and discussed in a forum-type seminar - held during the exhibition - with the appropriate title, 'Luxury goods and the leather industry - Follow the money'.
Winners of the 2nd Design A Bag Competition will be announced during the show. Entry levels are high, both in numbers and in standard of design.
