China Barista Championship
Since 2003, Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo is authorized to hold China Barista Championship (CBC). As the only world class level specialized coffee making competition in China, CBC is always devoted to promoting coffee and coffee culture and advancing the barista profession in China. After 7 year’s excellent service, CBC has been well known to the public.

Recently the two regional competitions of The 8th China Barista Championship - East China Regional Competition and North China Regional Competition have been closed successfully.

Has been highlighted with one of the key events in Shanghai Tourism Festival in this Sept, The 8th China Barista Championship - East China Regional Competition showed up from Sept 15-17, 2009 in Shanghai the spotlight of the 4th Metropolitan Coffee Exhibition Week which attracted more than 100,000 tourists. A total of 38 competitors participated in the championship. The coffee machine is from LA CIMBALI which is provided by Jess (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd.

Concurrently, the 7th China Barista Championship - China Representative Selection Competition was also closed successfully. The winner Mr. Zhou Yun-gui from Ningbo Jiangdong Bai Zhang Bestcoffee House will attend the World Barista Championship held in June, 2010 in London, UK as the only representative of China.

The 8th China Barista Championship - North China Regional Competition staged from Oct 20-21, 2009 at Radegast Hotel CBD Beijing gathering with 34competitors. It was strongly supported by many government departments and industry association such as Beijing Tourism Industry Association, China Coffee Association Beijing and so on. The coffee machine brand is ASTORIA which is provided by Render Coffee (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Finally 12 qualifiers will advance to the final CBC in the coming show on Mar 29 - Apr 1, 2010.

Now we are looking forward to have more exciting and high level performance in the final competition during Coffee & Tea China 2010 and more and more people will enjoy China Barista Championship and China Coffee culture.

As a Featured Show of Hotelex Shanghai 2010, Coffee & Tea China 2010 extended widely. It is expected to reach 5,000 sq.m show area and nearly 100 companies have confirmed their attendance including famous worldwide brands FETCO, Catamona, UCC, ILLY, LAVAZZA, ASTORIA, WEGA, Malongo, WMF, Davinci, Monin…etc
