UBM Asia, together with its French partner, the SIC Group, organises a series of world-renowned events in Hong Kong, China and India.
APLF - Materials, Manufacturing and Technology (MM&T) is held every March/April concurrently with APLF - Fashion Access. Indeed, it has been doing so for 20 plus years, over which time the fairs have become the world's most comprehensive leather and fashion events. They provide a unique opportunity for over 2,200 exhibitors to meet some 35,000 buyers from every part of the world.
APLF – Fashion Access holds a second annual show in October, in addition to the March/April event, allowing both exhibitors and buyers to take full advantage of the fashion calendar. The March/April show is for Fall/Winter collections and October targets Spring/Summer fashion.
To reflect China's emergence as the dominant player in the global leather industry, UBM Asia, in partnership with SIC and the China Leather Industry Association, developed the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE). This annual event held each September, in Shanghai, has grown rapidly to become the most international leather show in the country.
ACLE is held concurrently with the China International Footwear Fair (CIFF) and Moda Shanghai. As China is the world's largest footwear manufacturer, CIFF provides the industry’s international meeting place. Moda Shanghai is dedicated to leather garments, leather goods and fashion accessories. These three fairs together host over 1,000 exhibitors and attract over 15,000 visitors, with the numbers rising steadily each year.
In the spring of 2009, a new trade fair, Footwear, Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (FMM&T), will be launched in New Delhi in association with the Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA), one of the leading trade associations servicing the US$5 billion Indian footwear industry. The new fair aims to provide a platform for both Indian and foreign manufacturers to keep abreast of the latest trends in the manufacture of footwear from design through to the finished product. It will also create a bridge between the footwear manufacturers and the component producers targeting this vast Indian footwear market. The trade fair will be managed by UBM India, the largest commercial trade fair organiser in the country.
Prime Source Forum (PSF) was launched just three years ago. It has earned a reputation as the premier global networking event of its kind. The Forum's raison d'être is to bring together all levels of senior management in the entire supply chain, from material and design to manufacturing and retails to discuss the issues that shape the industry's future and bottom line. The event, held 1–2 April 2008 in Hong Kong, attracted 50 industry leaders and specialists from America, Asia and Europe, who shared their experiences and recommendations with more than 350 delegates from 20 countries and regions.
